The Fruit of our Mouths

“14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.” (Proverbs 12:14 King James Version).

  • What I say produces fruit.

  • This fruit satisfies me with good, not bad or evil; as long as I speak good things. I will get what I say. This means we must guard what comes out of our mouths at all times. For those of us who like to say, “Oh, I was just playing.” Be careful. Words are seeds. When you put a seed into the dirt it will grow and produce what was planted. Once spoken, the words have begun to take root in the soil of the universe and our hearts. There is no taking it back. The only way to counter this is to flood the atmosphere with words that you want to see manifest, and no longer speak the negative.

  • The compensation owed to me for work I’ve done will be given to me; it will not be withheld, whether the work we've done has been good or bad, we’ll get the harvest we planted.

For example:

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.” (Deuteronomy 28:1 KJV).

  • Do what the LORD says do; be obedient (this is the work of my hands like working on an assembly line produces a vehicle, or planting and watering a seed produces a plant).

  • The compensation, or recompense for hearing and obeying is, “GOD will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.”

  • What’s that mean? It means favor. GOD chooses you over others. He chooses the obedient over the disobedient. You will be recipients of GOD’s goodness.

“2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” (Deuteronomy 28:2 KJV). This will be what is rendered unto us, or given to us. These blessings will not be withheld because they are payment for the work of our hands, which is obedience. Read the full list of what obedience will bring us in verses 3-13.

The Power of Speaking

“17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” (Romans 4:17 KJV).

GOD calls things into being. Before GOD speaks, things don’t exist. Once GOD speaks, they do. We have been created in the image of GOD. What we speak comes to pass. We have the Spirit of our heavenly Father. He indwells us. Nothing is impossible for us.

“5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. 16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.” (Genesis 17:5-6, 15-16 KJV).

GOD changed his name from Abram to Abraham. He called him a father of many before he even had a child by Sarai; and her name was changed to Sarah meaning noblewoman, the wife of a king. The LORD called forth what was to happen. HE spoke it into being. They would be the progenitors of kings!

What has GOD put on your heart that HE will do for you? What good plans of health, peace, wealth, great relationships, etc., do you need to proclaim and speak out of your mouth like GOD spoke over Abraham?

What do you need to speak over yourself?

Remember, we are satisfied with good from the fruit of our mouths. “21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21 KJV).

Fruit is the result of what we say and do.

Find a promise in the bible; a word for your situation. Ask GOD to lead you to find HIS promises to you in the word. Then speak them daily until you see the manifestation. It’s on the way just like the many nations of Israel were before Isaac was even born.

Will you be righteous and believe GOD? “21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.” (Romans 4:21-22 KJV). Are you fully persuaded that what GOD has promised you, HE will bring it to pass in your life?

Promises

“10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.” (Joel 3:10 KJV). Even if you don't feel it, choose to believe GOD's word and speak it. Your strength will come.

“3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (Habakkuk 2:3 KJV). The vision GOD gave you will come to pass at just the right moment.

“8 The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” (Deuteronomy 28:8 KJV). The blessing is commanded upon us. Everything we set our hand to is blessed.

“19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19 KJV). Jesus said He would make them fishers of men before they had ever done any ministry work (that we know of).

“23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” (Matthew 13:23 KJV). Jesus said we would bear fruit if we hear and understand the word, if we do what it says. Remember, the recompense of our hands will be given to us.

“13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:13-14 KJV). Jesus really wanted us to get this because He repeated Himself two times in a row! He said if we ask anything in His name, He will do it!

Speak what GOD has promised; you will be satisfied with good! “27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27 KJV). Amen (it is so, may it be fulfilled). Be blessed, family, as you believe and speak what GOD has already spoken over you.

How to be Saved

Romans 10: 9-13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (KJV).

9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (NLT).

Say the welcoming word to God—“Jesus is my Master”—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!” 11-13 Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it.” It’s exactly the same no matter what a person’s religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. “Everyone who calls, ‘Help, God!’ gets help. (MSG).

Romans 5:8

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV)

8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (NLT)

It is your belief that saves you, family. If you believe, you will speak what you believe and not be ashamed or embarrassed to do so, whether you are alone or among others. Simply talk to GOD. Say aloud to God:

“I confess all my sin known and unknown, and ask You, GOD, to forgive me. I believe Jesus was born of a virgin, crucified, died for my sins, and rose from the dead. Jesus, come into my heart and make me new in You. Save me, Lord! Jesus, you are Lord. Be Lord over my life. Thank You, GOD for Your forgiveness. Thank You, Jesus, for making me Your own. Amen.”

You are now saved. You may not feel different or you may. Just know that the internal change is taking place once you uttered that prayer in faith. Day by day, you will begin to be transformed into whom GOD wants and created you to be. You will care more about the things of GOD than your own personal desires, and you will want to share the word of GOD when you have the opportunity. Begin to read your bible daily, and learn about GOD's will for your life. If you are not already a member of a local church, I encourage you to pray and allow GOD to guide you to the right fellowship for you. The pastor will help you grow in your gifts and talents so that you can begin to use them for GOD’s glory, and you and the other members will encourage and help each other along this journey with GOD.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
