“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there. if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.” (Psalms 139:7-8 New International Version). There is no highest heaven or deepest hell where GOD’s presence cannot penetrate. HE is omnipresent, everywhere at the same time, even right now while we read this HE is beside us.

“18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18-19 King James Version).

Jesus was anointed by GOD to not only preach the good news of eternal life and salvation from hell, but He also came, indeed He was sent to heal or to make whole those who have been broken and crushed, to preach deliverance and forgiveness to those who are bound and held captive and recovery of sight to those who cannot see physically or mentally. He came to set free those who have been hurt by hard times, hurt so bad that it left a mark on our minds and/or our bodies. Lastly, Jesus came to spread the message that right now is the time to receive favor and blessings from GOD.

Let’s look a little more closely at a couple of these promises. To set at liberty them that are bruised literally means those who are crushed, broken, shattered, bruised by calamity. Calamity is an event marked by great loss and lasting distress and suffering. It is a state of deep distress or misery caused by major misfortune or loss. Liberty means freedom or pardon. It refers to release from bondage or imprisonment, release from the calamity, the misery and stress of the situation.

We are also forgiven for any and all sins committed. “7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.” (Ephesians 1:7 KJV). There is nothing we have done that could ever make GOD stop loving us.

“35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35, 38-39 NLT).

Don’t do what you’re thinking of doing. Are you looking for a sign from GOD? This is it. Let GOD be in charge of your life. Turn everything over to HIM as a child to their father. “3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3-4 KJV).

Let’s be humble like children, and not think that our situation is too much for GOD. HE is our Father. “15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:15 New Living Translation).

That same Holy Spirit Who frees us from our brokenness, stress, and misery, also tells us that GOD is our Father, and HE loves us. “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.” (I John 3:1 NLT).

If you don’t know HIM, HE is ready and waiting for you today. And if you do know HIM, be reminded of HIS love for you. GOD loves us. GOD cares. HE sent HIS Son to prove it. The same Holy Spirit that was on and in Jesus, is on and in us too once we accept Christ. We are healed, delivered, recovered, and freed. We are given a message that says no matter what, it works out for our good (Romans 8:28).

“21 Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.” (I John 5:21 NLT). Amen, it is so.

How to be Saved

Romans 10: 9-13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (KJV).

9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (NLT).

Say the welcoming word to God—“Jesus is my Master”—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!” 11-13 Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it.” It’s exactly the same no matter what a person’s religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. “Everyone who calls, ‘Help, God!’ gets help. (MSG).

Romans 5:8

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV)

8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (NLT)

It is your belief that saves you, family. If you believe, you will speak what you believe and not be ashamed or embarrassed to do so, whether you are alone or among others. Simply talk to GOD. Say aloud to God:

“I confess all my sin, known and unknown, and ask You, GOD to forgive me. I believe Jesus was born of a virgin, crucified, died for my sins, and rose from the dead. I want Jesus to come into my heart to make me new in Him. I believe Jesus is Lord over my life and over everything that exists. Thank You, GOD for Your forgiveness. Thank You, Jesus, for making me Your own. Amen.”

You are now saved. You may not feel different or you may. Just know that the internal change is taking place once you uttered that prayer in faith. Day by day, you will begin to be transformed into whom GOD wants and created you to be. You will care more about the things of GOD than your own personal desires, and you will want to share the word of GOD when you have the opportunity. Begin to read your bible daily, and learn about GOD's will for your life. If you are not already a member of a local church, I encourage you to pray and allow GOD to guide you to the right fellowship for you. The pastor will help you grow in your gifts and talents so that you can begin to use them for GOD’s glory, and you and the other members will encourage and help each other along this journey with GOD.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
