GOD's Love

For those of us who say, "GOD doesn’t love me, HE can’t love me because of what I’ve done", for those of us not convinced by the fact that Jesus died for us to be free from the very guilt that causes unbelief, for those who have lost hope, the fact that you are reading this is proof of GOD’s love.

Right now, GOD is allowing you to hear HIS word. HE is giving you the chance right now to repent, to change your mind about how you live your life, to live to do HIS will and not your own. HE did not allow you to die in your sins. You are still alive. You still have breath in your body, breath that you can use to praise GOD, give HIM glory, give your life to HIM, and be saved.

The love of GOD is speaking to you and proving itself to you in this very moment. GOD wants you and everyone else to be saved. “9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” (2 Peter 3:9 New Living Translation).

Jonah was a man who directly disobeyed GOD. The LORD told him to go tell the people of Nineveh that they would be destroyed because of their wickedness, and the bible tells us that Jonah went in the opposite direction, bought a boat ticket, and sailed away (Jonah1).

Chapter two of Jonah tells us how he fell on hard times and his life was in danger. He cried out to the LORD acknowledging that GOD was the only one who could save him. He praised GOD for HIS mercy and vowed to do the will of the LORD. GOD heard his cry, and saved him from his life-threatening situation. HE then repeated HIS original command to Jonah.

“Then the Lord spoke to Jonah a second time: 2 ‘Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh, and deliver the message I have given you.’3 This time Jonah obeyed the Lord’s command and went to Nineveh, a city so large that it took three days to see it all.” (Jonah 3:1-3 NLT).

GOD loves you. HE will give you another chance, even if it is chance #523. GOD is just good like that. HIS mercy is beyond our understanding, just like HIS love. Take a moment to cry out to HIM today. Whether you are in a deadly situation, or one you just don’t see a way out of, GOD is waiting for your cry. Your deliverance is as close as the next words you speak.“5 O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.” (Psalm 86:5 NLT).

“13 I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 NLT). Amen.

How to be Saved

Romans 10: 9-13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (KJV).

9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” 12 Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (NLT).

Say the welcoming word to God—“Jesus is my Master”—embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between him and me!” 11-13 Scripture reassures us, “No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it.” It’s exactly the same no matter what a person’s religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. “Everyone who calls, ‘Help, God!’ gets help. (MSG).

Romans 5:8

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV)

8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (NLT)

It is your belief that saves you, family. If you believe, you will speak what you believe and not be ashamed or embarrassed to do so, whether you are alone or among others. Simply talk to GOD. Say aloud to God:

“I confess all my sin known and unknown, and ask You, GOD, to forgive me. I believe Jesus was born of a virgin, crucified, died for my sins, and rose from the dead. Jesus, come into my heart and make me new in You. Save me, Lord! Jesus, you are Lord. Be Lord over my life. Thank You, GOD for Your forgiveness. Thank You, Jesus, for making me Your own. Amen.”

You are now saved. You may not feel different or you may. Just know that the internal change is taking place once you uttered that prayer in faith. Day by day, you will begin to be transformed into whom GOD wants and created you to be. You will care more about the things of GOD than your own personal desires, and you will want to share the word of GOD when you have the opportunity. Begin to read your bible daily, and learn about GOD's will for your life. If you are not already a member of a local church, I encourage you to pray and allow GOD to guide you to the right fellowship for you. The pastor will help you grow in your gifts and talents so that you can begin to use them for GOD’s glory, and you and the other members will encourage and help each other along this journey with GOD.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
